Laura & Brian

I met Laura at my very first Mile High Photographers meeting. I walked into a room full of photographers not knowing a soul – with a similar feeling to your first day of college, except everyone else seemed to know each other and it was the first time I was publicly admitting that I wanted to be a photographer. Luckily, Laura was one of the first people I met and we bonded immediately over both being math majors and having actuarial science backgrounds (most people don’t know what that is, so it’s ok if you don’t!). Since then we’ve gotten to know each other really well- I’ve covered many miles in Colorado with Laura, traveling and shooting for her at so many amazing weddings. She is a wonderful supporter, photographer, and most importantly friend. But I know this post isn’t about me and Laura…

It’s about Laura and her equally wonderful husband Brian. As a bonus to having Laura as a friend, we get Brian too! Although I already felt like I knew Brian before I met him (we tend to exchange a lot of husband stories when spending 40+ hours together in a car!), it’s been really fun getting to know them as a couple. They balance each other perfectly. As husband and wife, you learn to love what the other does, sharing each other’s interests and supporting each other’s passions- Laura and Brian are the perfect example of this. Laura appreciates the beauty of the mountains and the fun of outdoor sporting activities (Brian has climbed every fourteener in Colorado), and Brian willingly scouts for the best antique shops, hangs chandeliers, and of course participates in many photo shoots. A couple of weekends ago, Laura and I went up to Vail with the husbands for a weekend getaway. We had a sunny morning of skiing followed by a gorgeous afternoon of photo shoots- a perfect day! And Laura and Brian together are beautiful inside and out…
